The L-W Communities Gather at the Fall Festival Parade

The Frankfort Fall Fest attracted crowds to the parade, the carnival, the music and, of course, the artisans.

The Lincoln-Way communities come together every year for the traditional Fall Festival parade.

Thousands gathered on a perfect day,  Sept. 1, along the parade route that snaked through downtown Frankfort. High school, junior high and middle school bands marched together with spooky and harvest-decked floats. Politicians were out shaking hands, and business joined in the parade as members of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Jim Holland and trustees walked the parade route and greeted the families that live in the communities. Families with three or four generations came out to enjoy an American tradition along with representatives from the civic groups, including Frankfort Lions Club, churches, Frankfort Park District and Frankfort Public Library.
