'It's Not Done Yet'—More Storms in Store After Frankfort-Area Tornado

A National Weather Service meteorologist said more storms were possible Sunday.

A tornado was reported south of Frankfort and more storms were in store for Sunday afternoon, a National Weather Service meteorologist said.

"It's not done yet," said meteorologist Matt Friedlein of the National Weater Service's Romeoville office.

The tornado was reported about 21:30 p.m. eight miles south of Frankfort, Friedlein said. The tornado was spawned by a storm with "long rotation, sustained rotation," that stretched from Peoria to far northwest Indiana, he said.

The same storm forced the delay of the Bears-Ravens game at Soldier Field.

Friedlein said to expect strong winds in the afternoon that could cause another thunderstorm.

"There's going to be gusty winds here throughout the afternoon," he said.
