Frankfort Patch editor Joe Vince is off on a weeklong escape from the daily grind, but that doesn't mean the site has come to a grinding halt. That's why he brought me—fill-in editor Luke Wilusz—into the fold to cover for him this week. But being on vacation doesn't mean he hasn't chosen a few photos for the I Know What You Did This Summer contest. Here are the featured pictures that have earned the shooters some Patch merchandise. You might have noticed that Frankfort Patch editor Joe Vince—that's me—is on vacation this week. (Don't worry about news and stories, though. The site is being ably helmed by Luke Wilusz.) But just because the editor's gone doesn't mean you should stop sharing your fun photos of summertime in Frankfort. The voting was close, but we have a winner. Congratulations to Julie McKnight, who won the Favorite Frankfort Summer Photo for June with her shot of her kids finding some shade in a tractor wheel at Frankfort's Country Market in Breidert Green. It's finally here. After photos were entered into the I Know What You Did This Summer photo gallery contest, it's now up readers to choose which picture should be June's Frankfort Photo of the Summer. This isn't an easy pick either. We have nine great shots that do a nice job capturing what this year's summer in Frankfort has been like so far. Although there are three photos selected for this round, there are only two photographers. I couldn't decide between two photos from the same shooter, so I picked them both. As always, check the Frankfort Patch Neighborhood Gallery to see all the great summer shots. Here are this week's winners: Missy (send me your last name): Both of these shots are of Missy's son, and I loved them both. Of course, if I had to choose—gun pointed to my and all sorts of other hypothetical threats—I'd have to go with the sprinkler photo.
