New Lenox Woman Fleeing Coke Arrest Runs Over Oak Lawn Cop

Woman refused to unlock her doors, ran over cop and got away during drug arrest, police said.

An arrest warrant was obtained for a former resident who eluded arrest during a pre-arranged cocaine sting, reports said. Oak Lawn police learned from a “confidential source” that Brittany Alyssa Rotto, 23, of the 700 block of Schoolgate Road, in New Lenox, had allegedly called to ask if he wanted to purchase two eight-balls of cocaine. Woman Charged With Filching From Frankfort Dentist Pleads Not Guilty

A receptionist at a Frankfort dentist's office allegedly stole thousands from her boss.

A Lombard woman charged with ripping off thousands of dollars from a Frankfort dentist while working as his receptionist pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of theft and possession of a controlled substance. Dorothy Lynn Guerrero, 28, was ordered to take a drug test prior to her Wednesday morning arraignment. She apparently passed and was allowed to leave after pleading not guilty. Guerrero is free on $50,000 bond following her Dec. 11 arrest. Frankfort officers had taken her into custody on a warrant. Guerrero stole more than $10,000 and less than $100,000 from Dr. James Tharp throughout September and October, according to an indictment secured against her in December. Six Bags of Cocaine Discovered During Frankfort Traffic Stop

Karen Dodoer, of New Lenox, was pulled over for allegedly speeding, but a search of her vehicle resulted in felony charges.

Six bags of cocaine were discovered in the car of a New Lenox woman during a Frankfort traffic stop on Oct. 21.  Karen Dodoer, 41, of the 1900 block of Tomahawk Ridge, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Dodoer also faces charges for driving with a suspended license, speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal transportation of alcohol. Dodoer was stopped by a Frankfort police officer for allegedly driving 16 miles per hour above the speed limit at 10:05 p.m. at the intersection of Laraway Road and Center Road. The officer determined that Dodoer’s license was suspended and placed her under arrest. He then conducted an inventory of the vehicle. The search revealed two plastic bags containing a white …

POLL: Should Law Go Easy on Senior Facing Drug Charges Because of His Age?

Donald Edwards was arrested Friday by Orland Park Police for selling drugs, according to a Sun-Times Media report. At 73, should the Frankfort Township resident's age be a factor for law enforcement?

A four-week investigation by Orland Park Police led to the arrest Friday, June 8, of a 73-year-old Frankfort Township man for dealing drugs, Sun-Times Media reports. Donald Edwards, of the 11200 block of North Woodland Circle, near Mokena in unincorporated Will County, was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and intent to deliver after police searched his home Friday, the report said. Edwards is still being held in Will County Jail, and his bail is set at $7,500. His next court date is July 2. A woman also living at the same address was arrested Friday, according to the report. Police Blotter: Who Let the Dog Out? Owner Facing Drug Charges Probably Should Have

Frankfort police reports, May 2-7.

SUNDAY, MAY 6 Nicholas A. Rettig, 30, of the 11500 block of Myrrh Lane, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor manufacture/delivery of marijuana and possession of drug equipment after an incident at his home. Rettig also was cited for a dog running at large. Neighbors called police around 6:30 p.m. to complain about a loose dog in the area, said Frankfort Police Cmdr. Kevin Keegan. As the responding officer chased after the dog, he noticed the back screen door of Rettig's house had been torn open and had a police dispatcher try to contact someone inside the residence, Keegan said. SUNDAY, APRIL 8 Ricahrd J. Altavilla-Wilson, 22, of the 21300 block of South 80th Avenue, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as driving with a suspended license and speeding after a traffic stop in the 8200 block of West Lincoln Highway. Police Accuse Parking Lot Squatters From Frankfort of Cocaine, Pot Possession

Tinley Park Police officers said they walked up to occupants of a suspicious vehicle over the weekend and spotted a white powdery substance, a CD case and a credit card.

Tinley Police said they happened upon a vehicle in a local parking lot over the weekend in which three people were possibly about to ingest cocaine.  Officers said they approached a red Pontiac sedan around 9:35 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Odyssey Sports Bar, 6701 South St., Tinley Park. A woman was behind the wheel, one man was in the passenger seat and another man was in the back seat, according to the report.
