Car Crash at L-W North: Will County Police Blotter

Will County Sheriff's Office reports, Dec. 26-28 • Scrap Metal and Aluminum Rims Stolen • Vandals Replace Gasoline with Bleach • Car Crash at L-W North.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 26 Unknown persons broke into a storage container and stole scrap metal and four aluminum rims between Dec. 16 and Dec. 19 on the 22000 block of S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort. Unknown persons punctured two tires on a work vehicle on the 20000 block of S. Frankfort Square Road in Frankfort. The offenders also poured bleach into the vehicle’s gas tank and poured bleach into a Ford Edge at the same location. FRIDAY, DEC. 28 Security personnel at about 1 a.m. at Lincoln-Way North High School on the 19900 block of S. Harlem Avenue in Frankfort observed a white vehicle crash into the school’s parking lot security gate. Car Strikes Drunk Teen: Will County Police Blotter

Will County Sheriff's Office reports, Dec. 22 • Car Strikes Drunk Teen.

SATURDAY, DEC. 22 Shane McEldowney, 19, of the 7600 block of W. New Castle Drive in Frankfort, was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol after he stepped into the roadway on the 20000 block of S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort at 1:45 a.m. and was struck by a vehicle. He was transported to Silver Cross Hospital by personnel from the Frankfort Fire Protection District and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police report information is provided by the Frankfort Police Department, Will County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. SATURDAY, DEC. 22 Unknown persons entered a barn on the 9800 block of W. Stuenkel Road in Green Garden and stole an ATV. Unknown persons stole a 2007 GMC Yukon from the driveway of a residence on the 92000 block of W. Magnolia in Mokena. Sheriff’s deputies received a call from Oak Forest Police on Dec. 25 stating that the vehicle had been recovered, although it had been burned. TUESDAY, DEC. 4 Unknown persons entered the women’s washroom located in the south concession stand at Lincoln-Way North High School on the 19900 block of S. Harlem Avenue in Frankfort and damaged two glass mirrors, two sinks, two soap dispensers, two exterior light covers and the entry door lock. This is one of multiple incidents to occur in recent months at a Frankfort high school. Two snowplows, weighing in at 900 pounds each, were stolen from Lincoln-Way East in early November. In October, two men were arrested for dumpster diving at East. Wilkens, 20, of the 20700 block of S. Ellen Lane in Frankfort, was arrested for improper lane usage and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at the intersection of E. Colorado Avenue and S. La Grange Road in Frankfort. James P. SATURDAY, DEC. 1 A white man named Billy and an unknown white man entered Shell Gas, on the 7600 block of W. Lincoln Highway in Frankfort, attempted to purchase two cases of Bud Lite. A store employee informed Billy that it was after hours of alcohol purchase, and the beer could not be sold. When the employee was distracted, Billy and the unknown man left the store with the beer. Later, $40 was found on the store counter. The price of the beer was $32.08. Someone stole three 20-foot steel channel irons and fifty 20-foot square steel stocks from the shop entrance of R&D Iron, on the 14400 block of W. Edison Drive in New Lenox. How was it theft if beer was paid for ? The clerk should have let it go. The cops should have let it go. The judge would surely let it go. Not theft ,but after-hours sales, maybe. We used to go into 7-11 to buy beer and we'd be 10 minutes late, so my gf would distract the clerk while we would 'time travel' back 15 minutes by moving the clock. Good Times.   more ›

THURSDAY, NOV. 15 Martin J. Walraven, 55, of the 7400 block of W. Inverness Lane in Frankfort, was arrested at his home for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition and no valid FOID card. SUNDAY, NOV. 18 Patrick T. White, 25, of the 2800 block of S. Centurion Lane in New Lenox, was arrested for driving under intoxication, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. The arrest occurred after White allegedly lost control of his vehicle, entered the front yard of a residence, flipped the car and struck a tree on the 300 block of E. Joliet Highway in New Lenox.
