Who Serves the Best Clam Chowder in Lincoln-Way?

This week, local editors Joe Vince (Frankfort), Paul Dailing (Mokena) and Michael Sewall (New Lenox) tried clam chowder at restaurants in their Patch towns. I'll admit that I'm not a fan of thin crust pizza. I just don't see the point of little squares; I like my pizza in sturdy triangle slices, able to handle ample toppings. Pleasing me is no easy task for any thin crust pizza. I do not envy these challengers. As far as we are concerned, Paisano's has great Italian food. We go there often, especially when we are looking for a relaxing down home atmosphere. Another bonus is that they serve beer & wine. Great BBQ ribs too. Give them a try. You won't be sorry.   more ›

Not only do carrots add natural sweetness, but they offer texture and color, too. I adore carrot cake; I like mine with walnuts, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, raisins and, of course, cream cheese icing, although some recipes might include pineapple, ginger or even coconut.
