Board Approves Permits for Upscale Seafood Restaurant

Dancing Marlin is scheduled to open mid-March in Frankfort.

A new upscale seafood restaurant called Dancing Marlin will come to Frankfort in 2013. The Frankfort Village Board of Trustees voted to approve special use permits for liquor sales and outdoor seating for the restaurant as part of the unanimous consent agenda at a meeting on Dec. 17. Tom Kara, who is a member of the team behind Dancing Marlin, says the restaurant will focus on quality service and innovative eating. “Our goal is to bring to Frankfort a new type of restaurant,” said Kara. Dancing Marlin will be located at 20590 La Grange Road, the former home of Torre’s and Dino Anthony’s, and is projected to open mid-March. It will be great to have a new restaurant in town that doesn't serve the same thing as most of the others. Looking forward to trying it out once it opens.   more ›
