FRIDAY, OCT. 26 James D. Hogan, 41, of the 1400 block of Henry Street in Normal, was issued citations at 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of La Grange Road and Nebraska Street for improper lane usage, driving under the influence, failure to dim headlights, failure to signal and no insurance. Hogan was released on bond. His court date is Dec. 5. SATURDAY, OCT. 27 Two teenage girls were issued notices to appear in court for retail theft. The alleged incident occurred at 3 p.m. on the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway. One of the girls was a 16-year old from New Lenox. The other was a 17-year old from Manhattan. Frankfort police responded to an armed robbery at 7:12 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the 21100 block of S. La Grange Road, according to a release from the Frankfort Police Department. The lone offender entered a business, displaying a silver handgun. He then demanded money and merchandise. The robber obtained an unknown amount of money and several thousand dollars in merchandise. He then fled the area in an unknown direction. The offender was described as a black male. According to the release, he is bald, mid 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has a scar on his left cheek and was wearing a Cincinnati Reds baseball hat, green jacket and blue jeans at the time of the robbery. The matter is currently under investigation. Anyone with …
A car accident near Lincoln-Way East High School shortly after 1 p.m. slowed traffic on La Grange Road Monday.
One person was taken to St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields with minor injuries after a multi-vehicle accident about 1:15 p.m. Monday. Frankfort police said the accident report was unavailable but Frankfort Fire District Assistant Chief Larry Rauch said was victim was transported by ambulance to St. James. The accident tied up the intersection of Colorado Street and La Grange Road for less than an hour. Witnesses on the scene said it appeared a vehicle attempting to turn left from La Grange Road onto Colorado and a northbound car struck each other. One vehicle was stuck in the middle of the intersection and the second car landed off the road. Both sustained heavy damage. A third car was also being towed from the scene of the crash. Follow…
