A Pair of DUI Stops in Frankfort: Blotter

Frankfort police reports, May 11.

SATURDAY, MAY 11 Herald Dean Gerdez, 59, of the 23000 block of South Pine Valley Drive, Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, improper lighting and driving without insurance, according to a report. Police stopped Gerdez at about 9:55 p.m. near the intersection of 108th Avenue and Lincoln Highway. He is due on June 5 in Will County court. Kevin Kerrigan, 27, of the 23200 block of South 104th Avenue, Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving without insurance, speeding and improper lane use, according to a report. Retail Theft Charge, Homewood Man Arrested on Warrant: Blotter

TUESDAY, MAY 7 A 19-year-old Tinley Park man was issued an ordinance violation for possession of marijuana and was cited for speeding, according to a report. He was stopped at about 1:23 a.m. near the intersection of 95th Avenue and Lincoln Highway. He is due on June 13 in Will County court. THURSDAY, MAY 2 Elizabeth T. Spalliero, 33, of the 1300 block of Brown Avenue, Joliet, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She was arrested at about 12:25 p.m. in the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway. SATURDAY, APRIL 27 Kristen D. Trice, 23, of the 11500 block of Tea Tree Lane, Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, failing to display license and improper lane use, according to a report. She was stopped near the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Plank Trail Drive. Trice is due on June 7 in Will County court. Brooke N. Battery to Senior Citizen Charge for Mokena Man: Blotter

MONDAY, APRIL 22 Alvaro M. Rodriguez, 22, of the 1900 block of Sybil Drive, Crest Hill, was charged with felony retail theft, according to a report. He was arrested in the 1900 block of LaGrange Road and taken to Will County jail. Bail was set at $30,000. His next court date is May 14. Benjamin Draus, 42, of the 9700 block of Forestview Drive in Mokena, was charged with felony aggravated battery to a senior citizen and aggravated battery in a public place, according to a report. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27 Two people were issued ordinance violations for selling tobacco to minors, according to reports. A 44-year-old woman from Tinley Park was cited at about 4:28 p.m. in the 21100 block of LaGrange Road. The second person, a 19-year-old man from Mokena, was ticketed at about 4:40 p.m in the 9500 block of Lincoln Highway. Both are due in court on May 9. SATURDAY, MARCH 30 Brett T. Torres, 31, of the 2300 block of Sunnydale Drive in Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving off the roadway and making an improper left turn, according to a report. FRIDAY, MARCH 15 Larry D. Smith, 37, of the 300 block of West Maple Street in New Lenox, was arrested on a Will County warrant and cited for driving without a valid license and for committing a child restraint violation, according to a report. He was stopped at about 2:25 p.m. near Lincoln Highway and Plank Trail. He was taken to Will County jail. An unknown vehicle damaged the yard of a home in the 22000 block of Thyme Lane, according to the report. The damage was done sometime around 1:30 a.m. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13 A mailbox was damaged at about 7:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Ash Street. It's being investigated as criminal damage to property. THURSDAY, MARCH 7 Police reported a theft from a motor vehicle at about 7:50 p.m in the 20600 block of Grand Haven Drive. A 16-year-old Tinley Park boy was cited for burglary to a motor vehicle, according to a police report. A second 16-year-old boy from Tinley Park also was cited for burglary to a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana, stemming from the same incident. Trenton L. Powell, 24, of the 7500 block of West Hickory Creek Drive in Frankfort, was cited for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:30 p.m. near 95th Avenue and Lincoln Highway, according to a report.
