PHOTOS: Frankfort VFW Honors America's Veterans

Frankfort VFW Post 1493 executed a 21-gun salute on Veterans Day.

The members of Frankfort VFW Post 1493 honored America's veterans with a 21-gun salute on Sunday, Veterans Day, at the Frankfort Township Municipal Complex. "It's just a day to honor all the members of the military, past and present," said post commander and Marine Corps veteran Joseph Powers. The post holds two salutes each year, on Veterans Day and on Memorial Day. Powers also noted that the Frankfort VFW post is open to the public and that all veterans in the Frankfort area are welcome at the post. Here's your chance to thank those veterans for their service and remind everyone in Frankfort how important they are to the country. When: 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 Where: Frankfort Township Municipal Building What: Members …
