Multiple Police Officers Required to Arrest Volatile Man

Thomas P. Badie was arrested after he refused to leave The Wild Rover and police discovered cannabis on his person.

An Orland Park man faces multiple charges after he refused to leave a local bar and physically resisted arrest. Thomas P. Badie, 32, of the 14100 block of S. 88th Avenue in Orland Park, is charged with cannabis possession, drug paraphernalia possession and resisting or obstructing a police officer. Frankfort police responded at 12:58 a.m. Feb. 17 to a report of a customer, Badie, at The Wild Rover, on La Grange Road, who was refusing to leave. When police spoke to Badie, he was swaying and slurring his speech, according to police reports. He also smelled of cannabis. A pat down revealed 5.8 grams of cannabis in a Ziploc freezer bag and three glass pipes with burnt residue on Badie’s person. According to reports, when the officers attempted…

Frankfort Police reports, Jan. 30-31 • Man Charged With Driving Drunk on Unsafe Tires • Theft on La Grange.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30 Jeremy E. Folk, 31, of the 200 block of Fox Trail Drive in Bourbonnais, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and use of unsafe tires at 12:40 a.m. on the 20000 block of La Grange Road. Wild Rover Under Review for Liquor License Violation

Village officials met with the owners of the local bar to discuss a police incident that occurred on New Year's Day.

The Village of Frankfort held an administrative hearing on Feb. 1 to review the liquor license for The Wild Rover in response to an incident involving the bar’s owner and the Frankfort police that occurred on New Year’s Day. John Dillon, co-owner of the bar, was issued a notice to appear in court for a liquor license violation after police discovered people inside and outside of the establishment at 2:47 a.m. Jan. 1, according to a report from the Frankfort Police Department.  Village sanctioned hours of operation for New Year’s Day extended until 2 a.m. Police said that prior to the New Year’s incident, Dillon had already received one warning about keeping the bar open after hours. “We’re going to insist on the strict compliance with …
