13-year-old Frankfort Girl Missing: Police Dog Lost Scent (UPDATE)

A 13-year-old Frankfort girl has gone missing.

UPDATE: 10:55 a.m. Monday Frankfort Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keegan reported that the missing girl has been found. She is safe and sound. ... Original Story: Frankfort Police are attempting to find a missing 13-year-old girl who left home sometime before 8 a.m. today. While neither the girl's name nor a photo has been released, she is described as being 5-foot-4-inches tall and weighing 95 pounds.  She has dark brown hair. There was no clothing description available. Frankfort Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keegan said the girl's parents said she apparently took along a small amount of money, packed some clothes in a black backpack and left on a blue mountain bike. A Pair of DUI Stops in Frankfort: Blotter

Frankfort police reports, May 11.

SATURDAY, MAY 11 Herald Dean Gerdez, 59, of the 23000 block of South Pine Valley Drive, Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, improper lighting and driving without insurance, according to a report. Police stopped Gerdez at about 9:55 p.m. near the intersection of 108th Avenue and Lincoln Highway. He is due on June 5 in Will County court. Kevin Kerrigan, 27, of the 23200 block of South 104th Avenue, Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving without insurance, speeding and improper lane use, according to a report. Frankfort Police Board Wants Frightened Victim to Testify against Cop

Frankfort's Fire and Police Commission wants the alleged victim of Frankfort cop Donald Walsh to testify before a disciplinary hearing, reports the Sun-Times Media.

While the courts are pursuing the criminal case against Frankfort Police Officer Donald Walsh for alleged aggravated domestic battery and burglary charges, the official disciplinary action by the Frankfort Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is seeking testimony from the victim. That may be a violation of the victim's rights. Walsh, who is accused of beating his former girlfriend in July 2012, is facing a hearing of the Fire and Police Board. Village Attorney David Silverman is seeking testimony from the victim, who fears she could be at risk if she agrees to testify. The Will County prosecutor in the case, Dave Neal, told Will County Judge Bobbi Petrungaro "he believes the village’s desire to subpoena the woman violates her rights …

TUESDAY, MAY 7 A 19-year-old Tinley Park man was issued an ordinance violation for possession of marijuana and was cited for speeding, according to a report. He was stopped at about 1:23 a.m. near the intersection of 95th Avenue and Lincoln Highway. He is due on June 13 in Will County court. THURSDAY, MAY 2 Elizabeth T. Spalliero, 33, of the 1300 block of Brown Avenue, Joliet, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She was arrested at about 12:25 p.m. in the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway. Frankfort Cop Facing Felony Domestic Case Hit With New Burglary Charge

Prosecutors added a count of residential burglary to a Frankfort cop's felony domestic battery case.

A Frankfort cop charged with beating up his Mokena girlfriend was slapped with an additional count of residential burglary during his arraignment Friday morning. Donald Walsh, 29, pleaded not guilty to that charge, as well as to the counts of domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery he was already facing for allegedly attacking his girlfriend in July. Special prosecutor Dave Neal said the residential burglary charge stems from Walsh allegedly breaking into the home of his 32-year-old girlfriend with the intent to batter her. The girlfriend accused Walsh of slipping into her house while she slept in the early hours of July 25. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27 Two people were issued ordinance violations for selling tobacco to minors, according to reports. A 44-year-old woman from Tinley Park was cited at about 4:28 p.m. in the 21100 block of LaGrange Road. The second person, a 19-year-old man from Mokena, was ticketed at about 4:40 p.m in the 9500 block of Lincoln Highway. Both are due in court on May 9. SATURDAY, MARCH 30 Brett T.
