No matter what time of the day people walked by the Breidert Green on Sunday, July 22, they were entertained. In the morning, the Country Farmer's Market took place as usual until 2 p.m. with all of its regular produce, beef, pork, flowers and more. Next, the Frankfort Car Club had their vehicles on display from 3 to 6 p.m. Residents were encouraged to leave non-perishable food items to help out the Frankfort Food Pantry in the trunks of the cars. Before the Concert on the Green series continued, Dave Thomas, an Elvis impersonator, sang tunes from "All Shook Up" to "In the Ghetto." Thomas also gave random facts and asked the audience trivia questions about Elvis from 5 to 6 p.m. 1969 played some groovy tunes, performing popular '60s songs …

Everyone has their own ways to mark the changing seasons, especially when it comes to the switch from winter to spring. For some, it's the first robin. Others, it's the beginning of baseball season. For some Frankfort residents, it's the opening of the Country Market, and for them, that means spring arrives Sunday, April 29. Here's your quick guide to what's new this year. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Oct. 28. Traditionally, the Country Market has been in the Breidert Green parking lot and along Oak Street. But this year, the village has renovated the Fra-Milco Cabinet Co. parking lot on Oak Street and will have vendors set up there, as well. Attention, fresh produce lovers: The Frankfort Country Market is staying open a little longer this season. The market will run through Sunday, Oct. 30, in the parking lot by Breidert Green, according to a Village of Frankfort press release. Originally, the market's last day this year was Oct. 9.
