Families flocked Saturday to Lincoln-Way East to visit the many local businesses in attendance at the annual event.
The Frankfort Chamber of Commerce hosted its 29th annual Community Showcase Saturday at the Lincoln-Way East High School Field House. “This is the businesses’ opportunity to showcase their goods and services to the community,” said Don Olivieri, co-chairman of the showcase committee. 90 local businesses and nonprofit organizations had booths at the event, which also included presentations and activities for parents and kids alike. The 29th annual Frankfort Chamber of Commerce Community Showcase is this Saturday at Lincoln-Way East High School. “The goal of this event really is to support our local businesses,” said Karen Blake, executive director of the chamber. Chamber representatives anticipate that approximately 3,000 people will attend this year’s free event. 90 chamber members, local businesses and nonprofit organizations have arranged to have booths at the showcase.
