Frankfort Woman Faces Drug, Traffic Charges

Sarah Lynn Smith was charged after a traffic stop in Tinley Park.

Sarah Lynn Smith, 20, of the 22000 block of Princeton Circle in Frankfort, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, disobeying a traffic control device and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop, according to the police report. Police pulled Smith over just before 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, after she was traveling east on 183rd Street and illegally turned right on red, heading south on Harlem Avenue, the report stated. A license check by the officer revealed that Smith had a suspended license, and she was put under arrest, the report continued. A search of Smith's car—a 2005 blue Ford Taurus—uncovered a metal pipe used to smoke pot that had residue on it, the report stated. Smith was released on $1,500 bond. This article…

Police Blotter: $500 Worth of Items Stolen From Parked Car

Frankfort police and Will County Sheriff's Office reports, March 20-28.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28 Marty J. Wittenborn, 21, of the 17700 block of Westbridge Road in Tinley Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident a near the intersection of East Colorado Avenue and Hunt Club Drive. His court date is May 14. TUESDAY, MARCH 27 Sebastian Z. Zydek, 21, of the 17300 block of Ridgeland Avenue in Tinley Park, was served on an outstanding Cook County warrant in the 20600 block of Grand Haven Drive. His court date is April 20. FRIDAY, MARCH 23 Frankfort Police received a report that various items worth about $500 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 700 block of Oakwood Drive.
