A receptionist at a Frankfort dentist's office allegedly stole thousands from her boss.
A Lombard woman charged with ripping off thousands of dollars from a Frankfort dentist while working as his receptionist pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of theft and possession of a controlled substance. Dorothy Lynn Guerrero, 28, was ordered to take a drug test prior to her Wednesday morning arraignment. She apparently passed and was allowed to leave after pleading not guilty. Guerrero is free on $50,000 bond following her Dec. 11 arrest. Frankfort officers had taken her into custody on a warrant. Guerrero stole more than $10,000 and less than $100,000 from Dr. James Tharp throughout September and October, according to an indictment secured against her in December. Artist and part-time dentist Steve Lotus is the official painter for the 2012 Ryder Cup this weekend at the Medinah Country Club.
When the best golfers from Europe and the United States tee off starting today at the 2012 Ryder Cup, Frankfort artist Steve Lotus will be there at Medinah Country Club. Lotus, who is a part-time dentist with an office in Frankfort under his real name of Dr. Steven Lotysz, is the official artist for the tournament and painted the official poster for this year’s Ryder Cup featuring the Medinah Clubhouse as well as two lithographs of the No. 3 course’s notoriously difficult 13th and 16th holes. He has been at Medinah all week to sign and personalize copies of his poster and lithographs. Lotus has become quite well known in art and sports circles for his golf artwork.
