SATURDAY, JAN. 12 Lawanda Frazier-Banks, 55, of the 800 block of Fitzhenry Court in Glenwood, was issued a notice to appear in court for battery at 6:20 p.m. on the 8200 block of Parkview Lane. A disagreement over a bet landed one Frankfort man in jail on Thanksgiving.
THURSDAY, NOV. 22 Shortly before 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving day, police were called to Tom Kelly's Restaurant in the 400 block of DeGroate Road. According to the report, Jeremiah Driscoll, 24, Frankfort, was arrested for allegedly fighting with a man over a disagreement about a bet. Driscoll was charged with battery and posted bond. A special prosecutor brought in to try Will County Board member Steve Wilhelmi's son for battery dropped the case but is still going after two pals of the young man. The fathers of these two men are not on the county board.
When Will County Board member Steve Wilhelmi's son was first arrested for allegedly whipping a man with his belt, he only faced charges of misdemeanor battery and mob action. Then the mob action charge went away, and now he's charged with nothing. A special prosecutor called in to try Wilhelmi's 21-year-old son, Alex Wilhelmi of 1108 Taylor St., Joliet, dropped the case Thursday morning. But David Neal of the Special Prosecution Unit of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor's office is still going after the two men arrested along with Alex Wilhelmi on July 1. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7 Anthony S. McKee, 23, of the 20200 block of South Rosewood Court in Frankfort, was arrested and charged with battery, aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon after cutting himself and threatening a woman with a knife. According to the report, police were called about a domestic disturbance involving multiple people fighting in front of a home on the 9000 block of Liscanor Avenue at approximately 1:28 a.m. While en route to the address, the responding officer was informed that several people were fleeing the scene on foot, but he didn't find anybody when he searched the area. Mynarczyk, 31, of the 1100 block of East Division Street in Lockport, was arrested for an outstanding Will County failure-to-appear warrant and charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and driving with an expired registration after a traffic stop near the intersection of Elm Street and Iowa Court. He was released on bond, and his court date is Jan. 30.
