Where's the (Italian) Beef? Tell Us Who Serves Your Favorite to Win a $50 Gift Card

This week your local editors tried Italian beef sandwiches in Frankfort, Mokena and New Lenox. The place with the most reader reviews and comments wins, and by participating you can get a shot at winning a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.

For this week's Chowdown Showdown, local editors Joe Vince (Frankfort), Paul Dailing (Mokena) and Michael Sewall (New Lenox) tried Italian beef sandwiches in their respective Patch towns. Our reviews are in the photo captions above, but to truly give a restaurant the title of "Most-Loved Italian been sandwich in the Lincoln-Way Area," we need your help. Who Has the Top Panini? Comment for a Shot at a $50 Gift Card

This week, your local editors tried paninis at restaurants in Frankfort, New Lenox and Mokena. After we give our reviews, let us know who you think has the best for a shot at winning a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.

This week, local editors Joe Vince (Frankfort), Michael Sewall (New Lenox) and Paul Dailing (Mokena) tried panini sandwiches at restaurants in their respective Patch towns. The good: Thanks to reader Jennifer Baron-Van Eck for suggesting the Tony's Turkey panini here. They also have ham, roast beef and Sicilian paninis. The bread was grilled to perfection, crunchy and tasty. The thing that really stood out was how fresh and juicy the tomato was. The bad: There wasn't really much turkey on the sandwich.
