UPDATE: Frankfort Square Kidnapping Suspects Arrested in Texas

A 20-year-old New Lenox man is one of two suspects in the armed robbery of a 69-year-old Frankfort Square woman, the Chicago Tribune reports.

A New Lenox man, 20-year-old Aaron D. Anderson, is one of two suspects arrested Wednesday in Sulphur Springs, Texas in connection with the March 4 kidnapping by gunpoint of a 69-year-old Frankfort Square woman. The Chicago Tribune reports that Anderson and 23-year-old Dorian Yamini of Richton Park were arrested without incident Wednesday morning after a "police chase involving state, county and city police." The two were taken into custody in Sulphur Springs, about 80 miles northeast of Dallas. "Both are charged with unlawful possession of a handgun by a felon, a felony. Anderson, who was driving the Honda Civic they were in, is charged with the additional felony of evading arrest in a vehicle." the Chicago Tribune reports. Read more about…

Suspect in Frankfort Square Kidnapping in Custody

One suspect allegedly involved in the March 4 kidnapping by gunpoint of an elderly woman in Frankfort Square turned himself in on Thursday, Sun-Times Media reports.

Will County Sheriff's police Thursday took into custody one of three men who allegedly kidnapped an elderly Frankfort Square woman by gunpoint on March 4, Sun-Times Media reports. A $1 million bail was set for Chavell Anderson, 21, Hazel Crest, who was booked into Will County Jail just after 5 p.m. Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in Will County Court on Friday.  Will County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas told Sun-Times Media reporters that the other two—Dorian Yamini, 23, and Aaron Anderson, 20—remain at large. Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested After New Lenox Car Crash: (UPDATE)

New Lenox and Illinois State police departments arrested three Tinley Park armed robbery suspects who police say crashed the getaway car on Route 6.

Thursday 4:45 p.m. Further details are not expected until tomorrow in the case of the Tinley Park armed robbery at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at the T-Mobile store, Harlem Avenue and 162nd Street, said Tinley Park Police Chief Steve Neubaurer.  The investigation is continuing in the case of three suspects who were arrested shortly after 8 p.m. in New Lenox after their getaway car crashed in a ditch on Route 6 just east of Cedar Road.  Thursday 10:50 a.m. Details of the Tinley Park armed robbery that spilled over into New Lenox last night continue to unfold. Chicago Man Accused of Radio Shack Armed Robbery

Reginald Taylor, 47, robbed the Palos Heights store at gunpoint and then fled to Oak Lawn, authorities say. Charges also are expected in connection with a Frankfort Radio Shack robbery.

A Chicago man charged in a standoff with Oak Lawn police is now accused of robbing the Palos Heights Radio Shack at gunpoint. Reginald Taylor, 47, of the 7100 block of South Harvard, is charged with armed robbery. He is accused of drawing a gun on employees on Wednesday inside the Harlem Avenue electronics store. The Cook County States Attorney’s Office approved the charge on Friday. Two Radio Shack employees who were in the store when it was robbed at picked Taylor out of a lineup on Thursday, Palos Heights police said. Taylor waited for customers to leave the Palos Heights store before locking the store's front door, police said. He pulled out a handgun, demanded money and fled with the cash. Armed Robbery on LaGrange Road

The offender took thousands in money and store merchandise before fleeing the scene.

Frankfort police responded to an armed robbery at 7:12 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the 21100 block of S. La Grange Road, according to a release from the Frankfort Police Department. The lone offender entered a business, displaying a silver handgun. He then demanded money and merchandise.  The robber obtained an unknown amount of money and several thousand dollars in merchandise. He then fled the area in an unknown direction. The offender was described as a black male. According to the release, he is bald, mid 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has a scar on his left cheek and was wearing a Cincinnati Reds baseball hat, green jacket and blue jeans at the time of the robbery. The matter is currently under investigation. Anyone with …

NEW LENOX — After two and a half years, a New Lenox man accused of beating a Joliet man into a coma may be headed for trial. A judge is looking to conclude pretrial hearings in the case against Joseph P. Messina, accused of knocking a man unconscious outside 191 South in Mokena in 2009. Messina, who was celebrating his 21st birthday at the time, has been indicted on two counts of aggravated battery. As bar-goers were leaving 191 South the night of July 25, words were exchanged over a T-shirt. The Southland's major criminal and civil cases heard in Cook County and Will County courts this week. EVERGREEN PARK — Marcus A. Parker, a 23-year-old Evergreen Park resident charged with armed robbery on Chicago’s North Side, was arraigned Wednesday on a seven-count bill of indictment. Charges stem from an incident on Dec. 4 in which police said Parker and another man—Joel Shavers, 22, of Chicago—robbed a pedestrian in the 2900 block of North Mildred Street. At the time Parker was  carrying a loaded handgun, according to police, as well as several items reported stolen in that area over the preceding days, including cell phones and credit cards. Both men remained in jail Wednesday on a $400,000 bail.
