Lockport Rolls to Title at Lincoln-Way East Invitational

Led by individual winner Kyle Anderson, the Porters bowl over the competition in the 24-team field; Andrew's Brett Isaacson collects nine consecutive strikes.

MOKENA—It was a shoulder-to-shoulder affair as the competitors crowded Thunder Bowl for the 24-team field in the 2nd Annual Lincoln-Way East Invitational.
    After trailing by 105 pins at one point, the Lockport Porters registered their second consecutive win at this invitational, posting 6,226 total pins in six games Saturday. Argo finished second with 6,157 total pins, and Andrew grabbed third place by toppling 5,966. "I expected our kids to be on top like last year," Lockport head coach Jeff Wyatt said. "Our kids stepped it up when they needed to. We had a bad start, but we started striking game three." Great to see the area shining in the finally expanding and high school bowling credit. I was junior coaching when Kyle Anderson was starting out in the SnS II program. The many bowling centers' youth programs have prepped the high school stars and for further success, and it is only right that the media is properly featuring the sport.
