House Fire in Frankfort Square Causes Extensive Damage
Firefighters extinguished the blaze at an abandoned house Tuesday afternoon.

An abandoned house in Frankfort Square was damaged extensively in a house fire Tuesday afternoon. The Frankfort Fire Protection District received reports of a fire at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday in the 8000 block of Woodvale Road, according to District Battalion Chief Nick Peters. When firefighters arrived, they saw flames in the west ground floor window. The fire was contained to two rooms downstairs, although the rest of the house was subjected to smoke and heat damage.
