Frankfort Police reports dealing with fireworks offenses from July 3 to 9.
Updated: 7:18 p.m. Dec. 29 The citation against Matthew W. Harper on July 7 for possession of fireworks was amended on Sept. 10 by the Will County Circuit Court. --- SATURDAY, JULY 7 Matthew W. Harper, 37, of the 11000 block of Riverside Drive, was cited for possession of fireworks near his home. His court date is Aug. 13. THURSDAY, JULY 5 Nicholas A. Carlson, 28, of the 10700 block of Ashford Avenue; Jonathon E. Carlson, 22, also of the 10700 block of Ashford Avenue; Chase L. Vaughan, 25, of the 100 block of Bent Tree Lane in New Lenox; and Matthew J. Provided by the Illinois Toll Highway Authority The Tollway is restricting construction activity and suspending all temporary construction lane closures from noon on Tuesday, July 3, through 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 5. Some work may continue behind barriers to keep work on schedule, but this work will not impact traffic. Major construction areas where drivers should plan for slower traffic during the holiday include: Tri-State Tollway (I-94/I-294/I-80) Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) A 45 mph speed limit is in effect 24/7 in all construction zones regardless ofwhether workers are present. The 43rd annual Independence Day Parade will be held Friday, July 1, at 6:30 p.m. starting at 95th Street and Pulaski Road to 95th and Richmond Avenue. Fireworks start at dusk at Duffy Park, 92nd Street and Ridgeway Avenue. If it rains on Friday, fireworks will be held on Sunday, July 3. The sixth annual 4th of July Parade at 10 a.m. from 51st Avenue and 95th Street to 55th Court and 95th Street kicks off the day’s events in Oak Lawn. The parade consists of more than 100 entries which include military color guards to mascots including South Paw (White Sox), Skates (Wolves) and Benny the Bull (Bulls), antique cars, dignitaries, parade units and marchers of all ages. Im sure the Police were called there by the neighbors. They dont go looking for people with fireworks. You should be upset with the neighbors having the police respond, when they could be doing more relevant police work like writing DUIs on the holiday.
