The district consists of five fire stations, serving 53,000 residents and covering 50 square miles, which includes Frankfort, Frankfort Square and Frankfort Township, among other areas.
Along with keeping the community safe, the fire district also offers programs to help educate residents. Some of these include CPR courses and car seat installation checks. The district also maintains the Pfaff Volunteer Station, which is a museum showcasing the area's firefighting history. Located by Fire Station No. 1 on Nebraska Street, the museum features a Model T fire engine and a memorial to fallen firefighters.
