Local Businesses: Claim Your Listings, Get a Free Shout Out

Starting Thursday, March 29, the first five businesses to claim their Frankfort Patch directory listings will be featured on the site's home and Facebook pages. Plus, you'll be helping out Together We Cope.

If you're a regular Frankfort Patch reader--and if you're not, we need to change that--I'm sure you've seen to help out , a nonprofit group that helps local families in crises.

All we're asking is for local businesses to claim their listings in our Patch directory. Outside of helping Together We Cope, what other benefits do you get from your claim? Let me tell you:

  • Your listing becomes an easy to use marketing tool where you can directly post upcoming events and sales for Patch readers to see.
  • You can upload photos of new merchandise, menu items or new remodeling to your store.
  • Direct your loyal customers to post reviews on your listing, telling everyone what they love about your shop.
  • Starting Thursday, March 29, the first five businesses to make a claim will have their listings individually featured on the Frankfort Patch home and Facebook pages, announcing to readers that your business cares by helping us help Together We Cope.

That's a lot of upside for a little bit of work. For the next 30 days, every claim puts Together We Cope one step closer to a free digital ad campaign on Patch. When 350 local businesses and organizations join our cause by claiming their business profile listing, Together We Cope will begin its first-ever online marketing campaign.

And how do you claim your listing? Just click on the "Claim it" link on your page (the photo in the media gallery shows you what it looks like) and fill out the information. It's as easy as that. And if you have any difficulties, don't hesitate to e-mail me at joev@patch.com.

So claim your listing and help your business, help Together We Cope and help Patch. To paraphrase Michael Scott and Pam Beasley, it's win-win ... win.
