PHOTOS: Church Helps Malnourished Kids With Two-Day Meal-Packing Event

More than 500 people—including Mayor Jim Holland and State Rep. Reneé Kosel—gathered in two-hour shifts to be part of a mobile two-day, meal-packing event for Feed My Starving Children, a Christian nonprofit group that creates and distributes specially formulated meals for malnourished children around the world. Rev. Kevin Hahn, Good Shepherd's pastor, became aware of Feed My Starving Children's volunteer packing events after being a part of one at the group's Aurora facilities.

"You realize that we have more than enough food for ourselves, and this is a way to make a difference in the lives of those who don't," Hahn said about why the church sponsored the event.
