Fall Festival Unveils 2012 Theme: Carnivale (VIDEO)

Fest volunteers gathered Monday to look ahead to next year and welcome new chairwoman Cindy Heath.

Never let it be said that the people behind the Frankfort Fall Festival linger in the past.

Hours after the 2011 Frankfort Fall Festival closed down Monday, festival volunteers and members of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce were at already looking ahead to 2012. Mark Giovanazzi, this year's festival chairman, passed the torch to his co-chair, Cindy Heath, who, in her first act as 2012 chairwoman, revealed next year's theme: Carnivale.

Her second act was naming Colleen Mora, this year's parade chairwoman, as the festival co-chair.

Monday's post-festival dinner also was a chance to thank volunteers for their work, as Giovanazzi passed out gifts to committee chairs and others who helped during the event.
