VIDEO: 'Art Will Always Be a Part of My Life,' Says Fall Fest Poster Winner

Jessica Cirullo, 18, had her winning design unveiled at this summer's first Concerts on the Green on Sunday. Watch Patch's video interview about the experience with the L-W East grad.

Jessica Cirullo has been drawing and doing art since she was very young. But Sunday was the first time her passion had received such high exposure and recognition.

Cirullo's artwork—done in colored pencils—was chosen as the design for the poster for this year's Frankfort Fall Festival. Illustrating the festival's 2012 theme, Carnivale, Cirullo's work will be seen throughout the village and in marketing materials used for the event, which attracts vendors and attendees from across the country.

Although Cirullo was alerted that her artwork was picked from 50 submissions, the design was unveiled to the public at this year's first Concerts on the Green on Sunday, June 17, on . Cirullo, 18, and a recent graduate of , also received a $250 from the , which is the major organizer behind Fall Fest.

Frankfort Fall Festival runs from Sept. 1 to 3 throughout the historic downtown.
