I Know What You Did This Summer: This Week's Featured Photos (June 27)

Although there are three photos selected for this round, there are only two photographers. I couldn't decide between two photos from the same shooter, so I picked them both. As always, check the Frankfort Patch Neighborhood Gallery to see all the great summer shots.

Here are this week's winners:

Missy (send me your last name): Both of these shots are of Missy's son, and I loved them both. Of course, if I had to choose—gun pointed to my and all sorts of other hypothetical threats—I'd have to go with the sprinkler photo. I'm guessing Missy's son might disagree with me there and wished Mom hadn't posted that shot. 

Monica Bouin: A few people pointed out this rainbow effect around the sun over the weekend, and Monica was able to capture it. Pretty cool.

These summer shutterbugs will be receiving some Patch merchandise for their troubles and will be entered in our end-of-June contest.

Want your photos included? Here's what you need to do for the weekly I Know What You Did This Summer weekly photo gallery:

• Photograph you, your friends and/or family enjoying the summer months in Frankfort. It can be out one Sunday evening at . Maybe it's while you're listening to one of the headlining musical acts at the . And yes, it can just be of your kids in the backyard, enjoying the Slip 'n Slide. The only requirements are that it's from this summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day of 2012) and that it shows you doing something in Frankfort. (Note to businesses and village organizations: You can submit your photos from events you organized or sponsored as well.)
• Post your photos in Frankfort Patch's Neighborhood Gallery (you can find it by clicking on the Pics and Clips tab on the homepage) by 5 p.m. Sunday each week to be considered in that week (if it's past 5 p.m., it will be entered for the following week). Make sure your name is in the caption along with what where you're at and what you're doing.

And that's it. Pretty simple, huh?

Every Monday, I will feature one to three winning photos, and those photographers will receive some Patch merchandise (either a T-shirt, sunglasses, water bottle, etc.). These photos also will be entered in an end-of-the-month contest, with the winning photo being printed out and framed for the owner. And those three photos will compete for the title of Favorite Frankfort Summer Photo, to be determined by Frankfort Patch readers.
