UPDATE: Who's the 2012 Fall Fest Grand Marshal? Guess Right to Win a Festival Poster

UPDATED (11:19 a.m. Tuesday, June 26): Never let it be said that Frankfort Fall Festival and Frankfort Patch don't think on their feet. We've jointly put together a contest where the person who guesses the identity of the 2012 grand marshal for this year's Fall Fest Labor Day Parade will wins by grad Jessica Cirullo and a Patch T-shirt . Cindy Heath, chairwoman for this year's Frankfort Fall Festival, chose the grand marshal for the 2012 Labor Day Parade last week. But she's staying mum on his or her identity until this week's on Sunday, July 1, according to a festival press release.

Heath did give a tiny hint in the press release as to who the grand marshal might be. Like Supt. Lawrence Wyllie, this year's model "has played a crucial part in building the thriving community we all cherish."

The other bit of information Heath revealed was the reason for this year's delay in naming a grand marshal. The chairwoman put the blame on Frankfort's abundance of residents who have been active and charitable in the village over the years.

“We are very fortunate to live in a town where it is the norm to give of one’s time and energy for the betterment of the community,” she stated in the release. “Every year, the Frankfort Fall Festival Chairman selects a Grand Marshall whose outstanding dedication to the town and its residents is worthy of recognition. What’s truly inspiring is how many such individuals our small town boasts.”

But just because Heath won't reveal the grand marshal's identity until Sunday, doesn't mean we can't engage in a friendly bit of good-natured speculation and plain ol' guessing before then.
