Lincoln-Way Soccer Club officials ran players through station-to-statiion drills during a tryout at Commissioner's Park.

The Lincoln-Way Soccer Club conducted tryouts for fall 2011 at Commissioner's Park in Frankfort.

Players were divided into two groups each for boys and girls, based on age. Soccer club coaches were on hand to help players hone their technical skills for the fall travel leagues and sent players through station-to-station drills.

Players were required to run laps and do pushups during the conditioning portion of the tryouts. Coaches taught tactical strategies and skills such as heading the ball, manipulating the ball, scoring and, of course, proper kicking techniques. The coaches are from local communities as well as from around the globe, including Brazil, Greece and Trinidad.
