Preps in Motion: Griffins Right on Track
Lincoln-Way East's girls track squad put in a strong showing at the Southwest Suburban Blue indoor track meet.
Lincoln-Way East came home with one first-place finisher in the recent Southwest Suburban Blue girls indoor track and field meet. Sarah Saffran won the pole vault with a vault of 9 feet.
The Griffins finished third behind Sandburg and Joliet West in the March 12 meet at Joliet Central.
The squad also had three-second-place finishers: Olivia Beggs (3200 meters), Courtney Grever (shot put) and Sydney Barrera (400 meters).

Kasey Zaremba finished third in the 800-meter race, and Kendall Nepote took third in the 400-meter dash.
In the JV race, Lincoln-Way East's Angie Bravo took second in the 400-meter dash, and Paige Bogdan finished third in the 1600 meters.
