On His Game: L-W North Ace Maleski Cards An Ace
Lincoln-Way North senior Nick Maleski notched his first career hole-in-one earlier this fall. He hopes to work for the PGA at some point down the road.
Talk about your first impression.
During tryouts for the boys golf team earlier this fall, senior Nick Maleski carded the most amazing shot in golf--a hole-in-one.
Of course, Phoenix coach Jim Nair already knew what Maleski would bring the team. A year ago, Maleski shot a crucial 79 during the Marian Catholic Regional. Every stroke mattered in that one as the Phoenix edged district rival Lincoln-Way East on a tiebreaker. North's fifth-best score (Brian Fleming’s 82) gave the Phoenix the regional title.
So, Maleski was back at it before the 2011 season even started when he drilled the ace at the Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood.
