Lincoln-Way North edged past Lincoln-Way Central to remain perfect on the season, according to a report in the SouthtownStar.
An interception, a missed extra point and a safety all played into the late-game drama of Lincoln-Way North's one-point win over Lincoln-Way Central, according to a report in the SouthtownStar.
"Lincoln-Way Central led 21-7 and had the ball late in the third quarter," the SouthtownStar story said. "Lincoln-Way North defensive back Nick Bucci intercepted a pass and returned it to the Knights 41-yard line to set up a touchdown."
The final was 22-21.
The Phoenix remain perfect at 6-0. The Knights dropped to 2-4, 1-3 in conference play.
