Gimme 5: Mokena Park District Job Helps Kausal Pay for Schooling

Former Lincoln-Way East football lineman Nick Kausal spends his summer working outdoors, getting baseball and softball fields ready for evening games.

Working for the Mokena Park District has been a perfect fit for Nick Kausal. He loves the great outdoors. In addition, he wants to make as much money over the summer as possible, and his job requires him to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Kausal returned to the area after completing his freshman year at Western Illinois University. He wasn’t a ballplayer for the Griffins, as football was his sport.

The four-year player spent time toiling in the offensive line during his years at the Frankfort high school.
