Athlete of the Week: Lincoln-Way North Soccer's Kyle Purtell Meets His Goals
Phoenix senior soccer standout Kyle Purtell accounts for both of Lincoln-Way North's goals in matches against Reavis and Plainfield South.
The Lincoln-Way North boys soccer team picked up a 1-0 shutout victory over Reavis and managed a 1-1 draw against Plainfield South, and Kyle Purtell was able to produce a couple of goals to power the Phoenix.
Purtell scored the game-winner in North's 1-0 victory over the Rams on Tuesday and also scored against Plainfield South on Thursday.
For his efforts, Purtell has been selected as the Patch Athlete of the Week for Frankfort/Mokena.
