Athlete of the Week: Cargle All-Around Champ

 Ajani Cargle was the top all-arounder during Thursday's boys gymnastics sectional at Lincoln-Way East, helping the Lincoln-Way co-op squad cruise to victory and earn a trip to next weekend's state finals.

Cargle finished with a 55.6, which remains the top all-around sectional score in the state. He won pommel horse with a 9.55, he won parallel bars with a 9.6, and he won high bar with a 9.4. He was second on floor with a 9.35 and second on vault with a 9.55.

Cargle’s performances helped Lincoln-Way co-op score a season-best 160.80 in claiming the sectional title. They also helped Cargle win recognition as Patch’s Athlete of the Week.
