VIDEO: Setting Facts Straight on Teachers' Pension Plan

D210 Supt. Lawrence Wyllie talks about teachers' retirement, including how they can accumulate sick and personal days.

Beginning earlier this year,  Supt. Lawrence Wyllie has been sitting down with Patch for a series of video Q&As about the district with some of the questions provided by readers.

In today's segment, Wyllie answers two reader questions:

  • Do you support the present pension 6-6-6 and incentive payout language that many feel is nothing but pension padding?
  • Do you support 15-plus sick/personal days a year that can be accumulated up to a year's worth, then cashed out before retirement?
