L-W North and East Hosted a Youth Tennis Tournament

A total of 30 students participated in a two-day tournament event.

Lincoln-Way North and East hosted their fifth annual Lincoln-Way Youth Tennis Tournament this month.

Thirty athletes living within the Lincoln-Way District 210 boundaries participated in the two-day tournament held at Lincoln-Way North High School on Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6. Ten of the athletes also played in the inaugural June tournament that was hosted at Lincoln-Way West this year under the direction of Karla Horn, Lincoln-Way West head tennis coach, and Sue Schneider, Lincoln-Way Central head tennis coach.

“We had great weather this year for the July tournament. Last year we dealt with the heat and several years ago it was rain,” noted Wes Cooley, head North tennis coach and tournament director.
