Lincoln-Way High Schools' Buses Won't Start—Students Allowed Excused Absence

Lincoln-Way high schools will be open, but if students can't make it they will be allowed excused absences.

For the first time this week Lincoln-Way high schools will be open, but the buses aren't running.

The Lincoln-Way High School District website includes an alert about the lack of school bus service Wednesday.

"All Lincoln-Way High School District 210 schools will be OPEN on Wednesday, January 8th," the site said. "However no transportation will be provided."

Students unable to make it to school on their own steam reportedly will be allowed an excused absence.

The elementary districts' buses are running and are not affected.
