Lincoln-Way Foundation Awards Scholarships in Honor of Late Board Director
The two scholarships reflected beloved areas of former board director Linda Ernat.
Two Lincoln-Way East seniors were awarded scholarships inspired by late Lincoln-Way Foundation Board Director Linda Ernat.
Claudia Baffo received a scholarship reflecting Ernat's love of music; Alec Jennrich was bestowed a scholarship in honor of her dedication to community service.
The Linda Ernat Memorial Scholarship was established in 2014 to honor the memory of Ernat, who joined the Foundation Board in October of 2007. Prior to her sudden death in January 2014, she served on the executive board and chaired several fundraising committees.

"Linda's genuine sense of service was evidenced by the joy, professionalism, focus and compassion she brought to every task," the Foundation said in a release.
