Lincoln-Way East Honors School's 101 Illinois State Scholars

Lincoln-Way East High school honored its 101 Illinois State Scholars recently with a special lunch in Griffins’ Lair.

“We want to congratulate all of you for being our Illinois State Scholars. You’re hard work pays off,” Associate Principal Joe Skarbek told students as they gathered in the school’s community room for a celebratory lunch of soup and sandwiches.

Among the school’s 101 Illinois State Scholars are: Nicholas Allegretti, Alexander Arseneau, Claudia Baffo, Kristen Bainbridge, Jeffrey Bandurski, Dominick Bartemio, Kaylee Bortscheller, Kasper Borys, Casey Cassello, Jack Christensen, Rachel Chudoba, Brigid Clark, Anna Conboy, Jill Connolly, Kayla Currier, Emily Davis, Danielle Deering, Alexandra Doyle, Alexandra Dworakowski, Benjamin East, Paul Eckel, Hannah Eggert, Nelson Eisenmann, Jack Finn, and Chase Fugett.

Lincoln-Way East Illinois State Scholars will be recognized at the school’s commencement exercises on June 5, 2014 when they will be given a special cord to wear with their graduation gowns.
