Lincoln-Way to Host College Fair for Students with Disabilities

Hoping to address issues specific to students with disabilities, the residents of Lincoln-Way High School District 210 are invited to a college fair to answer questions about self-advocacy, college admissions criteria and the differences between college and high school.

“We believe that every student at Lincoln-Way should use the four years of high school to develop skills, interests and abilities that will lead them to a career they will pursue with passion, and understand how to meet their learning needs at the post-secondary level,” said Karen Murphy, the Pupil Personnel Director at Lincoln-Way North High School. “This program will help students and their families get started in that process.”

The event, called “Turning Point,” will be held at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at Lincoln-Way North High School, 19900 S. Harlem Ave., Frankfort. It is open to Lincoln-Way District 210 students with Individual Education Plans.
