Grand Prairie Elementary Students Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

On Thursday, March 3, at 8:40 a.m., first grade students at Grand Prairie Elementary School will celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

Organized by the first grade teaching team, students will enjoy activities, stories and food based on Dr. Seuss’s books while they have fun with literature.

Grand Prairie Principal Bill Hermanson and Assistant Principal Cathy McCarthy will read the Dr. Seuss book, Green Eggs and Ham.

In keeping with the story, the children will eat green scrambled eggs, green bread and green milk.  Parent volunteers and teachers will help serve the special green breakfast to the children.  After breakfast, the students will participate in literary activities for the rest of the morning.
