Back to School: Important Dates for L-W East, North

The start of the school year is here, and Patch lists some of the significant days for the Lincoln-Way high schools at the beginning of the year.

Believe it or not, the first day of school is right around the corner. And there's more than just showing up when classes start. Here's a list of some important dates for students attending and high schools.

First day of school

Thursday, Aug. 16.

Registration

Registration times for L-W East and North high schools are as follows:

  • Thursday, Aug. 2: Noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 7: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 9: Noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.

Freshmen Programs

The parents of freshmen are invited to attend a "Straight Talk" with Supt. Lawrence Wyllie from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 14 at North, and from 8 a to 9:15 a.m. Aug. 17 at East.
