'You Don't Say!' ... a BIG surprise cast addition!

Day 11 of filming local independent feature film "You Don't Say!" Also, well-known Hollywood actor joins the cast of "You Don't Say!"... who is it??

The wonderful cast and crew of independent feature film "You Don't Say!" are chugging along on day 11 of principle shooting!  So far we've filmed all the church, Bobbi Evans' apartment, art gallery, mystical store, and news studio scenes! We will be re-shooting at the Blissful Banana Cafe in Orland Park within the next couple of weeks as well as finishing up the Evans' home scenes.

The shooting schedule is mighty vigorous, and the crew has had their challenges along the way. However, that isn't stopping us!  This week we'll be filming a short fight scene, a restaurant scene, and a car scene—that one will be interesting as we will have to be filming while Gary Gow (who plays Jerry Brownwell) actually drives around the south suburbs and the city of Chicago! If you see a bunch of people crammed in the back seat of a car with a big camera and microphone, don't honk ... we're filming!

But let me not keep you in suspense any longer. The big news is that Larry Thomas (who played the Soup Nazi in Seinfeld) has agreed to be a part of "You Don't Say!" He will be playing Mr. Melendez, the CEO of TeleMex Communications and is very excited to be a part of this film! We shoot his scene this coming Saturday, and are thrilled with the chance to be working with him.

Once again, if you'd like to be an extra in the film, contact me at sjmcrowley@gmail.com and put 'Extra' in the subject. I will then e-mail you back with a list of dates that calls for extras. We're looking to find more people for tomorrow's night shoot at Hackney's Restaurant (123rd & LaGrange Rd., Palos Park) at 6 p.m. If you're interested, please let me know!

Check out more on-set pictures and stay tuned to know more about Larry Thomas!
