Seasons are a changin'

A Bears 2012 Fantasy Football Preview and pics from their last training camp session.

I have to admit that I love this time of the year as much as any other.

It's not the change in the weather or the colors on the trees that gets my heart thumping. It's the fact that the NFL Season is right around the corner.

It's also the fact that the Fantasy Football season is upon us. Yes, I am a fantasy football geek. To my credit though, I have turned this hobby into a way to make some fairly serious money. In 2006 I won over $110,000 playing this funny little hobby.

To get myself in game-ready shape, I decided to take in the final session of the Bears training camp. I have added some pics from the August 16 practice.

A few tidbits that validated some of my previous inklings that I walked away with after visiting BearBonnais:

1) Cutler is smiling more because he knows has some shiny new toys that are going to give him the chance to be mentioned with some of the other elite QBs. I would be happy to start the season with Cutler on my fantasy teams as part opf a QBBC approach. If you wait on a QB, stock up on RB and WR studs, you can win your leagues with a Cutler or Ryan leading your team.

2) Brandon Marshall is going to be a beast for the Bears this year. If you play FF, feel comfortable taking him as your #1 WR in the second round of any draft.

3) Forte and Bush are going to be a productive duo. From a fantasy standpoint, I wouldn't draft Forte at his current ADP as I do believe that the addition of Bush, Marshall and Jeffrey will cost him some production. I would definitely add Bush in the middle rounds of almost any fantasy draft but especially if I do take Forte.

4) Ashlon Jeffrey should not be slept on. Of all of the WR rookies entering the NFL, he has the skill, potential and finds himself in the best situation to be a prodcutive WR from day one. I will be trying to ensure that he makes as many of my rosters as possible.

If anyone has any fantasy football questions, feel free to post them here and I'll be happy to share my thoughts.
