Frankfort Historic Business Association Hosts Buffalo Gals Round Up Girls Night Out on August 14

Coming off the recent success of their Aloha, Frankfort Girls Night Out in June, the Frankfort Historic Business Association (FHBA) will host Buffalo Gals Round Up Girls Night Out on Wednesday, August 14, from 6-9 p.m. in downtown Frankfort. Over 15 businesses will be participating with country western theme promos and/or in store specials, including: Frankfort General Store, Pickwick Society Tearoom, Cottage Creations, Glory Bee, Lil' Surprises, Maddie Maks, Yarns to Dye For & More, Chew on This Dog Barkery, Fringe Boutique, The Paper Spot, Briosa Boutique, This & That Gifts, Eclectic Attic, Kernel Sweetooth and My Sister's & Me Boutique.

Star Visions Photography will again provide a complimentary digital theme group photo for guests, and Smokey Barque is offering Spiked Raspberry Sweet Tea or Strawberry Lemonade for $5 each.

FHBA also welcomes Heart & Sole Dance Studio, which will be leading two-left-feet friendly, drop in line dance instruction in the Star Visions Photography parking lot (4 W. Nebraska) from 7-8 p.m. In addition, Iron Skillet will provide background bluegrass music during check in, thanks to Down Home Guitars. Plus, be sure to watch for the authentic cowgirls riding their horses through the streets of downtown Frankfort from 6-7:30.

Girls Night Out check in will be on the patio north of This & That Gifts at 21 S. White Street from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Guests will pick up their Passport to Savings, a map and other event details. A bonus passport stamp will be given for wearing country western attire! Completed passports can be turned in to Smokey Barque between 8:00-9:00 p.m. for a raffle prize drawing. Winner need not be present.

The FHBA will also be collecting new office supply items to benefit the Cancer Support Center in Mokena on August 14. Shoppers are invited to drop off their donation at check in. Items requested include: paper towel, toilet paper, kleenex, packages of printable address labels, first class stamps, file folders, reams of copy paper, biodegradable hot/cold cups, tea bags, medium and large kitchen garbage bags, and small denomination gift cards to Target or WalMart. Thank you for supporting this valuable community resource. More information on the center can be found at http://www.cancersupportcenter.org/
