New Life Church Hosts Annual Shinefest on October 26

What started several years ago as a small scale event for New Life Church families has morphed into a community event for over 1,000. This year's Shinefest features food (hot dogs, chips and drinks), photo booths, old-fashioned carnival-type games, festive fall crafts, music and more. Of course the highlight of the night is the parade of children dressed in costume trunk-or-treating for candy through a parking lot filled with decorated car trunks. Parents and kids get to vote on the best dressed trunk, too! (Please, no gory or adult-theme costumes.)

While there is no charge for this event, New Life Church is requesting donations of soap or shampoo, which will be given to My Joyful Heart, one of the church's mission partners. Shinefest 2012 will be held on Friday, October 26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at New Life Church.
