Village to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Mariano's
Although construction has already started on the location of the new upscale grocery store, Frankfort will have a symbolic start Wednesday afternoon.
Technically speaking, the ground already has been broken at the site of the new Mariano's Fresh Market that will be opening along LaGrange Road some time in 2013.
But just because a couple earthmovers have been shifting dirt around for about a week doesn't mean business and community leaders, as well as Mariano's representatives can't do something a little flashier.
A ceremonial groundbreaking will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, along the newly christened Market Street, which is the name the board recently approved for the feeder road that will connect the new upscale grocery store to LaGrange Road. .
