8th Annual Wellness Fair

The eighth annual Frankfort Wellness Fair is Saturday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon at Founders Center, 140 Oak St. in downtown Frankfort.   

Sponsored by the Village of Frankfort and the Frankfort Park District, the free fair will highlight prevention and awareness, and will offer free health screenings and education, including glucose and cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, cancer prevention awareness, osteoporosis screening and awareness, heart and breast health and pain management. In addition, health and nutrition professionals will provide free educational seminars as well as "Cooking for a Healthy Lifestyle" demos. 

St. James Hospital and Health Centers is the exclusive participating sponsor for the event and provides all services. 

"The Wellness Fair is a great opportunity for all ages to start 2011 with a healthy approach that hopefully continues throughout the year.  In addition to the preventative screenings, demonstrations and educational information, there are many exhibits to enjoy.
